Hanson says he’s no snitch but he got stitched anyways! Poor boy had a freak accident jumping on our friends couch. His leg slipped between two sections and hit a metal lever which punctured his knee! We couldn’t just butterfly bandaid or super glue this cut, it what a meaty one. We ended staying at the ER for 4.5 hours to get 4 stitches. By the time the doctor came in to stitch him it was 2:00 a.m and he was sound asleep. She stuck a needle deep into his cut in three places to numb it and he didn’t even wake up. She then sewed 3 stitches again without him flinching and only on the fourth did he grimace all while staying asleep. Only after he was all stitched up did he wake up and began to cry because he just wanted to go home.
Archie is our newest addition we adopted from the humane society. He has the softest fur and is absolutely the chillest kitty I have ever met. He is so laid back with everyone and enjoys laying on top the bookcase in the little boys room or their beds or dresser. He is all bones and fur right now so we will be trying to add so weight on him. We put his litter box and food in the little boys room and kept him there for a week solid so that he would know that that was his sleeping and safe space. He has just now started to venture downstairs to meet the rest of the four legged gang. He and Pippa are getting along great and they are a hoot to watch play as they roll around wrestling in this ball of fluff. Penny has finally realized there are two cats now and pretty much has no issue with him. He was an unexpected addition to some of us but is slowly being accepted. Hanson loves that we now have a boy pet and that Archie can climb up into his top bunk to sleep with him. Welcome to the boys’ room Archie!
Jordan played in his first AL State championship in Auburn. He played singles, mixed doubles and boys doubles. They played two matches each day that took all day on Friday and Saturday due to rain delays. His team did incredible winning so many games. They were by far one of the top teams out this weekend.
These kids are all so supportive and encouraging to one another just great teammates!
Jordan played the best we’ve ever seen in singles against a kid much older and taller than him. The other kid hit the ball to the base line the whole time and Jordan gave it his all making some amazing returns!
End of day two for this bunch. Coach Steve and Coach Justin have coached them well!
Oh my goodness y’all, this girl can’t stay out of the makeup! She and her little friend LOVE painting each other’s faces with glittery, sparkley pretty colored makeup. They are having a fantastic summer together! #summertime
I love our neighbors! We could not ask for any better ones and we are so blessed to have our newest friends & neighbors, David and Crystal, that live right next-door to us. They have two little girls that have quickly become great friends with our children too. We joined forces together to host a neighborhood Fourth of July block party. They have a perfectly flat long driveway so we held it at their house and set up a long family style table underneath white lights. Our two families provided the venue, grilled chicken breast, canned sodas and beers, juice pouches for kiddos and adult punch! We had those coming to bring desserts and side dishes.
So many of our neighbors came out and we had a great night together. The kiddos had so much fun sliding on the mega slip-n-slide and we adults had just as much fun watching them!! We also had an arsenal of fire works to close out the evening 🎆. So thankful for those that gave us our freedom and continue to protect our country. We are truly blessed! Happy Fourth of July 🗽!
I’m so happy G is taking an interest in dental hygiene although she’s leaning toward a different specialty, canine hygiene. She was so sweet and quite thorough while brushing Renn’s teeth with HER toothbrush! She even sang the brushing song to her. Renn was a good sport & so tolerate of the whole cleaning. G even gave her a fresh bowl of water to “rinse” out after brushing. I so love my little hygienists! Keep on keeping doggies cavity free!
