So thankful to spend Thanksgiving in Texas at Mammaw and Pawpaw’s house again this year. It had been a few years and so many changes were done to the house it was great touring all the new renovations and new furniture placement. Always a good time had in Fredericksburg,TX!
Hanson’s kindergarten class has a “pet” hedge hog that the children take turns bringing home on weekends. This weekend was Hanson’s turn and boy did we keep Hedgie busy! Everyone thought it was super cool that Hedgie came for a visit and Hanson was very attentive and played with him all weekend. Hedgie watched a movie with Hanson, ate pretzels and pancakes, helped to put up post on the farm, rode the tractor, cooked hotdogs on the fire and hung out with Bun Bun in her cage. It was so much having Hedgie visit and hope he will come again!
Morgan and his friend, Meagan, and I drove up to University of North Alabama for a preview day. I’d been curious about the school for a while as I looked it up online and thought it was a very pretty campus and the cost were lower than most. They have the studies that both Meagan and Morgan want so we took the tour, enjoyed the pep rally, were educated on the history and success of the school and were on our way to the Rattle Snake Saloon for lunch. Ultimately neither of them decided to attend here but it was a good visit and a better road trip with these two. Good times.
“Look at my hair Mommy isn’t it beautiful!”. I looked at Gayleys hair and then looked again and saw a crisp cut line at her temple. The dreaded perhaps in evitable had indeed happened. This spirited 3 year old cut her hair, her beautiful long golden curls!!
She took me upstairs to where the little beautician had chopped her locks and there they laid on the carpet. At first I thought she had just given herself bangs but the next day it was noticed that she had also taken off a bit on each side leaving just a long strip in the middle of her back. And she had also cut the pink ribbon on her dress above and gave the stuffed horses a trim as well! After searching several salons Mommy found her former beautician to give Gayley her First “official” haircut. Mrs. Sandra did and excellent job and Gayley loved every minute of it. After several prompting and suggestions we got Gayley to agree that we were going to leave all the hair cutting to Mrs. Sandra for now on!
