My Mother’s Day started bright an early with Trey and I sneaking out of the house to go to the Pancake House for a scrumptious, peaceful, childless Mother’s Day breakfast of Strawberry crepes and apple Dutch baby. On the way home we called/texted the kids to get up and ready for church so we could all go to early service.
After church Elijah and Morgan went home to do homework and relax and the rest of us drove over to Tuscaloosa to play at a park we’ve been meaning to get to. The kids loved it although it was a bit scary and challenging. Poor Joseph rubbed his hand up ripping off skin on the ropes! Ouch!! We had a big family style lunch at Panda Express and then gandered into Gander Mountain for a bit before heading home. I’ve gotten lots of gift cards and a GIANT card and beautiful orchid from Morgan. Of course it wouldn’t be Mother’s Day without a few handmade items as well.
