Joseph had a blast playing with his pals on the U-13 team Storm. He had a great season with about 7 goals and lots of assist. The team finished up UNDEFEATED!!!! They were actually 14-0 because they also won all their Jamboree games but they aren’t included in the standings. So they were 11 & 0!! Way to go!!!!
Bless his heart! He has studied and studied and done countless Bonus and extra credit papers, posters, projects trying to finish strong this last 9wks of his Junior year. I hate it for him. There is no way I could have done as well as he has taking so many Honors and AP courses this year. He has had so much on his plate this final 9wks with all his classes, club competitions, taking ACT’s, Peer Helpers, lacrosse practice, games, play-offs, Prom and starting a new job. I think his Dad and I are about as excited for school to be over for him as he is. He certainly needs a break!! It won’t be a very long break however. He starts Lacrosse Academy of Birmingham travel lacrosse practice this week and will have weekend tournaments till July 11-12. He will also be away for a week-long camp called Anytown and then working at a local restaurant as well. Throw in some required summer school work, family time and spending time with friends and his summer will be full! No matter how old he gets he’ll always be my baby!!!!
Jordan and Mary had their Kid You’ll Move Mountains Awards Day this week. The title of the awards program comes from Dr. Seuss’- Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
Kid You’ll Move Mountains!
They both were awarded A/B Honor Roll and then Mary also received the Principal’s Award for Leadership! She was so excited to get this award in which her teacher and the Principal chose her. Quite prestigious for a 4th grader!
Only a cute girl could cause a middle school boy to spend his first profit from his summer job all on her! Joseph is now “in a relationship” with Hana which for a 6th grader is seeing each other at school and snap chatting on his newly acquired phone. It was her Birthday and our sweet boy bought her the best diamond earrings $10 could buy, sweet smelling roses, sour patch candy and wrote her a funny poem because she likes Batman and what boy wouldn’t like a girl who likes Batman!!
Hana was very happy with all her gifts and they had a brief hug. Her Mom was a bit bewildered with the declaration of the “relationship” but we Moms are both on the same page as far as what is allowed which is mostly just the title of having a boyfriend/girlfriend and that’s about it. I’m glad Joseph has a kind heart and picked out and bought all her gifts on his own. He’s a keeper if you ask me!!!
