Spent a few fun hours at McWane Center this morning. Everyone enjoyed the regular attractions along with the added Holiday ones like the zip-line and super slide. Trying to squeeze out a few last visits before our Family Membership runs out on the 31st!!
After filling some tummies with chicken, fries and ice cream cones we headed home to catch the start of the Iron Bowl. War Eagle! Roll Tide!
Our one true Thanksgiving tradition is having the kids decorate the table runner/cloth/butcher block paper. They have drawn some wonderful turkeys, pilgrims, Mayflower and cornucopia’ over the years. While decorating Joseph had his newly built Lego creations and said, “Look Mom it’s not Legos and tutus it’s Legos and turkeys, you should put this on your blog!!” Ah the brainwashing of a child with a blogging Mama alas my plan has come together!!!
“Every good and perfect gift is from God…” – James 1:17
Having fun at the playground. This boy loves to swing!!!!
Joseph started running fever, feeling faint, dizzy, super sore throat and all around full body aches. . . Great! He stayed home today along with Jordan who has the stomach bug which will just have to run its coarse and hopefully not spread throughout the whole family. So after a trip to the doctor and a throat culture he got the news. . . Yep it’s strep!! Uggg!!!!
So Mr. Joseph got a “this will make you not contagious in 24hours” shot in the tush plus an antibiotic. Daddy came home sick from his hunting-camping trip along with an irritating bout of poison ivy so he’s on antibiotics, steroids for the poison ivy and special $10 bar of poison ivy soap! Poor Daddy! So hoping these viruses, colds, allergies and what-nots will not be hanging out at our home for long!
Hanson had another successful haircut thanks to a lollie pop and some firm hands! Still no tears or tantrums!!!
