Hanson now has 5 teeth, is speedy Gonzales of crawling, still loves his milk bottle, mosquitos love him but his sensitive skin does not. He says, “dog” constantly and can spy one in a heart beat! Loves, loves, loves his big brothers! Always wants to be amongst them. He loves watching “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and his bedtime routine is having one last bottle then falling asleep in Daddy and Mommy’s bed then taken to his crib where he usually sleeps all night. Oh and he’s so adorable too!
This year we had boys in 3 different schools competing in Battle of the Books other wise known as B.O.B. It was Joseph’s first year as a 4th grader at the Intermediate School, Morgan in 7th grade Middle School and Elijah 9th grade High School. This was the 3rd year for both Elijah and Morgan to compete. In B.O.B they have 6 required books to read then they take a test about the books to see who gets on the team and then they get 2 out of the 6 that they specialize in, memorize it front and back, inside and out. They practice weekly then in April compete against other schools in the county. Its a scholars bowl for books. The boys did fantastic and we couldn’t be happier for them as they all 3 earned Top Point Earner for their team!!!
Joseph started the brothers out getting the 1st medal on Tuesday then Morgan(Team Captain) competed on Wednesday bringing home his Top Point Earner medal and 1st Place Team trophy!!! This was the first year for Chelsea Middle School to win 1st place and they were thrilled to have won!
Last but not least Elijah completed the Tribeca bringing home his Top Point Earner for the Garrett brothers! Grammy and Paw Paw were up visiting for a few days so they were able to go watch and catch a few lacrosse games too.
Morgan and his U13 team mates fought a tough game against Huntsville this past Saturday. Morgan didn’t have his regular jersey at the start of the game so he borrowed #81 for the 1st half and then put on his #27 jersey for the rest of the game. He had some amazing blocks, saves, pokes, body checks and even ran the ball down the field a time or two. Good game Morgan!!!
Jordan’s 8th Birthday “MUD RUN”
Oh what fun this gang had at Jordan’s “MUD RUN”! All but 2 are from our street. We have some pretty fun kids around here. Jordan knew when he got off the bus we were going to have his Birthday party but he didn’t know all the details which led to a super excited Birthday Boy. He even said as he looked out across the obstacle course, “I think this is the Best Birthday Ever!”. . . mission accomplished!
