We hope you had an enjoyable Easter morning as much as we did!
We relaxed, drank coffee (parents)and ate pigs-in-a-blanket with orange juice and discovered all the goodies that filled our Easter baskets!
We had a big ham and all the trimmings for lunch then played with our bunnies/toys and enjoyed eating our candy without having to rush around which is what we do most of the time.
We got all dressed up to go worship our Risen Lord at the 6 p.m. service . While we appreciate the Easter Bunny for the treats he brings we especially love Jesus and the miracle gift He gave us!
Happy Easter from the Garrett Family
“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.” Matthew 27:05
. . . . . . and the weight of the world was on His shoulders today, Good Friday. For you.
Mary at a Cinderella Birthday party 3 years ago. Can you say overstimulated!!! This party was a bit over the top too much going on for little Miss Mary to process. Even though this was taken long ago I don’t know the other little girls or their parents therefore didn’t want to publish their faces to the world hence the spray canned faces. It was a beautiful Cinderella event but Mary wasn’t ready for so much of so much! Live and learn!
Jordan and Mary stay after school on Wednesday for Discovery Club which is their small group Bible club and they both love it. Jordan brought home this little booklet he made there and I just love it! This is the cover and back page, but on the inside it reads at the top of the page God you have . . . then is blank for the children to fill in. Jordan wrote:
God you have . . . Gaved your only son for me.
God you have . . . made me win my DSI XL on ebay. God you love me so so so a thousand so much.
God you have . . . made me get born on the Ides of March. ( Definition: The Ides of March was a date on the Roman calendar (Idus Martias) corresponding with our date of March 15. It was a fateful date”
~ Caesar’s Assassination
A more well known occurrence on the Ides of March, in 44 B.C., Julius Caesar was assassinated, at the foot of a statue of Pompey where the Senate was meeting.* Before Caesar went to the theater of Pompey to attend the Senate meeting, he had been given advice not to go, but he didn’t listen.).”Beware the Ides of March”
God you have . . . made the Birth mother choose our family.
AWE I just love this boys heart!!!
