Merry Christmas everyone! We had a great Christmas Day. We were up around 7:30a.m. which is average to late waking up around here. Our poor friends were up at 4:30 with their 5 year old then 5am and finally gave in at 5:30 and woke the older sister up to unwrap presents. Now that is too early!! Our children were bounding down the stairs with excitement and amazement at all the presents beneath the tree. Mary was all smiles as she sighted her stroller that we bought while in Poland and carried back with us. She went to it right away and pushed it all around. Some of the highlights were Morgan getting his 1st guitar and opening his Game-boy and games that Elijah bought for him. I love the brother hug. Morgan was speechless and I think it is his favorite gift. Elijah opened a magnetic chess board we got in Krakow, an MP3 player/holder, model car, remote control plane(Morgan too). Oh, Morgan got $$ from my parents to buy himself a Build Your Own Lightsaber Kit which he did and a game for the Game-boy. Joseph recieved his most sought after gift, a desk and art kit; Ironman p.j.’s , Ironman action figures(Jordan too), sling shot and paint balls(this was all Daddy’s doing). Jordan got a Color Wonders paint set, Tyrone(Backyardigans) singing doll, wooden plane from Zakopane, Poland., Playmobile knight, robe and p.j.’s. Mary’s big gift was her stroller from us. Elijah got her a crawling doll and Joseph got her a Princess dress. She got Uniqua(Backyardigans doll) like Jordan and p.j.’s , a new jacket and winter crocs. Mary received a special doll from the foster family in Poland. It is a wonderful singing doll in Polish of course. She was so cute opening it and we told her who it was from and she was so wide eyed and listened carefully to the doll singing. We asked her if she knew what the doll was saying and with the biggest smile and head nod she yelled “TAK!!” Thank you Widlo family, she loved it and we are so glad it was here for her 1st Christmas with us. She also got lots of her familiar candies in Poland. She was very excited about getting them and we kept telling her who sent them and she would nod yes, yes she understood. It was fun seeing the kids open all the presents and watching them play. We had a late breakfast and went to see an early afternoon movie, “Bedtime Stories”. It was a fun film and everyone enjoyed it. We had out Christmas dinner around 6pm of ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, squash casserole, green beans, deviled eggs. I think that’s all. It was a very active, yet calm Christmas believe it or not. My parents had come the weekend prior and we did presents with them and Trey’s parents and sister and family came on Saturday after Christmas. I have lots of pictures to share, so get in a comfy seat because you’ll be here a while!:) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
